Keep Our Ways Strong Indigenous Corporation (KOWS) is a community-led initiative based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) that brings together young people, families, Elders, schools, community organisations and services to strengthen cultural connection, belonging and positive pathways for the next generation.
KOWS was established in response to community conversations about the need for prevention-focused, community-led approaches that support young people to stay connected to culture, education, community and opportunity.
Together Stronger
Together Stronger brings community members, young people, Elders, schools, organisations and services together to identify strengths, challenges and opportunities for supporting young people and families.
The workshops create space for community voices, lived experience and local knowledge to guide future priorities, partnerships and community-led action.
Together Stronger Workshops
Together Stronger creates space for community members, Elders, schools, organisations and services, currently delivered in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), to come together to explore how young people and families stay connected to culture, community, education and opportunity.
Grounded in community voices, shared learning and lived experience, the workshops explore strengths, challenges and opportunities while identifying practical pathways for collaboration, leadership and long-term change.
Cross Cultural-Peacemaking Workshops
Cross-Cultural Peacemaking recognises that conflict is a natural part of life, but how we respond to it matters.
Currently delivered in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), the workshops explore practical approaches to communication, mediation and relationship-building while creating opportunities to learn from different cultural traditions, knowledge systems and peacemaking methodologies. Bringing together Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal perspectives, participants explore how diverse approaches to conflict, accountability and restoration can strengthen relationships, communities and organisations.
